Belle Fiori is proud to be a real brick and mortar flower shop! They’re passionate about creating one-of-a-kind arrangements for their corporate partners and bridal couples and believe that no occasion is too small to celebrate with beautiful flowers. Partnering with local Wisconsin farms to source native blooms as well as a carefully cultivated list of international flower sources ensures that you’ll get the most beautiful blooms. The best thing about working with Belle Fiori is getting a whole team of wedding and event professionals supporting your vision.

Emily Neubauer is the owner of Belle Fiori and we had a chance to sit down with her and find out more about her business and her life!

The Interview

What is your favorite adult beverage of choice? Rehorst Gin and sprite with lime
What is your favorite junk food? Kopp’s Custard
Do you have any pets? I have two dogs, Ellie and Evie

What are some of your favorite venues in Milwaukee?

There are so many beautiful venues in town and we love all of them, but The Pfister, Lake Park Bistro, and Pritzlaff Building are definitely some of our favorites.

What type of clients are drawn to working with Belle Fiori?

People who are having a “full wedding” with lots of details, dinner, and dancing! Also couples who appreciate a local Milwaukee-based business (a lot of our clients grew up in Milwaukee but now live out of town and want their weddings to represent “home”). Lately, we’ve noticed we have a lot of weddings with a downtown vibe, as well.

What is your favorite season to design for?

I love the seasonal aspect of floral design – it’s always changing so it never gets boring! Before you tire of any specific bloom or color palette, new flowers are coming into season and it’s time to do something fresh!

How do you start the design process with the clients?

Our potential clients receive a full quote before they put down a deposit. The first consult covers everything from an inspiration board to the wedding gown to the number of centerpieces to design to delivery and cleanup. Then, about three weeks before the wedding, the design and flower orders are finalized!

What do couples forget to ask you?

Be honest with yourself about your budget so we can offer you the best value for your money. And remember the multiplication factor with a wedding: you may need 6 bouquets, 28 centerpieces, etc…the more ducks you can have in a row the more we can help you.

What is your favorite trend this year?
After several years of white, blush, and generally neutral designs, color is making a comeback!

One thing brides and grooms should know before their wedding?
Have an honest conversation with everyone involved about the expectations of each part of the wedding. How important is this aspect to each person? What is a reasonable budget for each vendor? How many guests are you expecting?
