Bacchus Wedding: Dani & Randy!

Dani and Randy knew each other for a looong time before they started planning their Lake Park ceremony and Bacchus wedding reception. Growing up, Dani was the annoying little sister of Randy’s friend Bill. Randy was the out of reach friend of Dani’s older brother. It wasn’t until they were both adults that they came together and saw each other in a new and wonderful light. Having that long of a history with someone can really establish a comfort zone in a new romantic relationship and that was certainly the case for these two.

With that wonderful foundation, they started planning their intimate Tuesday wedding. Why a Tuesday? It’s Dani’s favorite day of the week! With only about 35 people in attendance, this was a wedding without any extra people involved. If you made this guest list, you knew you meant a whole lot to this couple.

The Plaza Hotel was the scene for the start of Dani and Randy’s day.

The Cafe at The Plaza and its beautiful courtyard has long been a favorite Front Room spot for a hearty breakfast. This is like a secret nature no0k in the middle of the city. When we heard Dani and Randy would be starting their day here, this location was the clear choice for a first look.

Having a ceremony in the middle of the park comes with its own logistical challenges. We were concerned about joggers and bikers traipsing through the middle of the ceremony. There seemed to be a parade of them coming by leading up to the ceremony, but somehow, for this magical 15 minutes on a Tuesday afternoon, Dani and Randy and all their favorite people had the place to themselves.

Getting this wedding together was truly a family affair. Dani’s brother Bill, better known online as That Cheesecake Guy, made these amazing cheesecakes. Her aunt made their wedding cake!
