Brookfield Sheraton Wedding: Daina & Mehran!
Every story we tell is a unique reflection of a couple, their wedding day, and the people that brought them to this point in their lives. Mehran proposed to Daina at the Baha’i Temple in Illinois where they also had their engagement session. In addition to the civil portion of their Brookfield Sheraton wedding, they also had Baha’i elements to their ceremony. During the reception, the standard set of toasts from the designated honorees in the wedding party were given and then there was an open mic, inviting anyone up who had something nice to say about them. This was a pretty fun aspect to the reception as it gave everyone a chance to share their perspectives and add their personal blessings to the day.
On the bittersweet side of things, while Daina had lost her father and Mehran his mother, they found ways to honor their loved ones that could not be with them. Amanda took a picture of them holding each other’s loved one. Daina and Mehran wanted nothing more than to be able to share this day with them, and were proud to honor them in any way they could.
Mehran capped the evening of open mic toasts with a beautiful tribute to his new wife.
The Persian dancing was one of the highlights of the reception. It was clear everyone was looking forward to that part of the evening – you couldn’t keep them off the dance floor!
