Dynamic Events by David Caruso Wedding: Megan & Sam!
Once in a while the stars align and the right family finds the right coordinator who finds the right photographer and a new tribe is born. The tradition began five years ago of epic, personally styled weddings for an amazing family when Megan’s sister Kelly called Dynamic Events by David Caruso who called us about her wedding. Then four years ago Megan’s sister Katie set off the same chain reaction. Last year, we got the call for Megan and Sam’s wedding and we were thrilled to know we would get another opportunity to update the story of this very special family.
Each of these sisters’ weddings has had their own unique flair that truly captured their spirit. For Megan and Sam, the industrial, raw feel of Pritzlaff spoke to them. But it needed a little tweak and they did something we have never seen done. They transformed the courtyard into a garden park, complete with landscaping and a water feature, adding a natural component to this quintessentially urban venue. The result was both jaw dropping and quaint and added the perfect counterbalance to the tastefully swanky decor inside this warehouse turned reception venue.
Both Megan and Sam’s day started off being surrounded by family and friends while they got ready in style for a sweet and tearful first look.
From the heights of Lake Drive to Bay View’s graveled industrial underbelly, Megan and Sam and their wedding party went on quite a journey with us.
This stunning array of dangling roses created by The Flower Garden was the talk of the ceremony. All the guests couldn’t stop looking up at that them as they entered. Brilliantly, they were repurposed for the dance party reception to designate the VIP-like lounge areas.
While photographing Dynamic Events weddings lit by Majic Productions, it’s hard to find a bad angle. We were so glad both Neil and Eron were there to capture this amazing ceremony from multiple angles.
This garden park didn’t exist just 24 hours before the wedding. It is amazing what a talented group of artisans can pull off!
One of our favorite aspects of a genuinely styled wedding is that the spaces are so well done that we want to find ways to use them all. Long after the guests cleared out of the garden area and the ballroom, we snuck Megan and Sam back in for quiet moments to themselves while their guests continued to party in the other room. Not that it was an easy task. The party seemed to orbit around them. At least we always knew just where to find them: the center of the dance floor. We were lucky we grabbed them when we did. Right after this shot the last song of the night started and we rushed them back to enjoy it with all their guests.
