Hilton Milwaukee Wedding: Angela & Bill!

When Angela first emailed us about her Hilton Milwaukee wedding, we had a feeling right off the bat that it would be a good fit. “I’m looking for a photographer we can have fun with but who will also give us some level of direction. We want our photos to be candid, we don’t want many staged photos (yes yes you’ll have your family photos and some bridal party ones) but overall, we’d like natural photos. IF we do have to do some posing we’ll be relying on the photog to tell us where and how to be,” explained Angela. That sums up much of our approach. It’s all about balance. Getting to know what the priorities of the couple are is vital. Then, using that understanding to inform our spontaneous decisions helps make our images personal to that couple and that family.

Angela and Bill lived on the same street in Elm Grove all their lives. It wasn’t until they both went to Marquette University that they met and, subsequently, fell in love. It only made sense that the First Look on their wedding day would be where they caught their first glimpse of each other. Marquette’s St. Joan of Arc Chapel and the area surrounding it is a location we go to often not only because of a Marquette connection but it’s also a gorgeous area with amazing flowers and trees.

Hilton City Center is a really cool, classic Milwaukee hotel. It also has a secret gazebo garden allowing for an outdoor ceremony in the middle of the city!
