Check out more of Laura and Jared fun day below

There are times when old friends (ones that I’ve had for awhile, not ones that are aged) tell me about their wedding or I see pictures online and I think, “Why didn’t they call me?”  This one called!  Laura and I went to high school together too many years ago.  When I saw her name on the message pad from her initial call to us, I knew who it was immediately and was very excited to hear how happy she was.

That feeling was reinforced when I met Jared for the first time and, for a moment, thought he may have been part of our high school class.  A perfect fit!

As for the wedding day itself, the ceremony was at the Frank Lloyd Wright built Annunciation Greek Orthodox church.  I love that church.  It’s so holds so many people but still feels really intimate.   We stopped at Laura and Jared’s house for some precious photos with their dog Trooper.  What a funny dog!  Then the reception at Western Racquet Club was really fun, too.  Between the bagpipers, the great food and some fun and poignant music from the past, everyone had a great time.

Underlying all the fun and beauty of the day was such a strong feeling of family.  There were some very tender looks exchanged at the ceremony and even more tender words spoken at the reception that touched my heart and made me so happy that throughout this crazy life, my old friend has found herself at the beginning of the next phase of hers.
