Pfister Wedding Photography: Jessica & Blake!
There are some qualities you can always expect to see in our Pfister wedding photography. The space encourages a timelessness to the photos, there is always a warm glow about and there are awesome downtown backdrops all around this classic Milwaukee hotel. Jessica and Blake embraced all of these qualities but also added their own flavor the events of the day. “Blake and I fell in love at a packer game and two years later Blake proposed in front of the Vince Lombardi statue. For many of our guests, our wedding was their first time traveling to Wisconsin. We wanted to (subtlety) incorporate the wonderful Wisconsin staples…packers and cheese, the traditional cutting of the 20 LB cheese wheel, the groomsmen packer socks and the photo booth was stocked with cheese heads and Aaron Rogers masks.”
Some couples have very strong feelings about whether or not to do a first look. The scheduling benefits of doing one are fairly indisputable, but some worry that the experience will lessen the emotional impact of the ceremony. This is a great example of how we make first looks both aesthetically pleasing as well as really emotionally moving. Upon Amanda’s suggestion, Jessica and Blake got right up to the brink of seeing each other, exchanged letters and read them before turning around and taking in the vision of each other. The waiting was the sweetest kind of torture.
One of our favorite aspects of weddings is the idea that two families are coming together, forever linked. Jessica and Blake’s mother’s were celebrating this very idea while walking out of the ceremony.
This image is one of our favorites. It really deserves to be very large and hung on someone’s wall!
