Turner Hall Wedding Show: WEDMKE!
One Sunday we look forward to every year is the Turner Hall wedding show WEDMKE, put on by Turner Hall and Milwaukee Airwaves. It isn’t your typical wedding show, which should come as no surprise when it’s in one of Milwaukee’s most character-driven venues. Every artisan here brings their own voice to their craft, choosing to eschew the status quo for a more inspired vision. For those couples that think they would never get anything out of a wedding show but irritation and indigestion, this is the show for you.
We were so taken by the collection of talent in the room that we made sure to document as many of them as we could while also attending to our booth. Here are some of the highlights as well as links to the vendors involved.
Turner Hall‘s own booth almost blended into its surroundings it felt so at home.
Formerly one of our own, Shelby moved on from doing graphic design for us to start Shelby Made It and we couldn’t be happier for her. Here she is with one of our 2017 couples Devin and John!
These EZPZ marquee letters were impossible to miss. We just met them recently and really dig what they do!
Press Waffles wins our award for tastiest addition to the show. We really hope we see (and eat!) them at a bunch of weddings this year!
Urban Ecology Center made an appearance. We love the good work they do for the kids and the community and we are proud to say we will have our first wedding at their facility this year!
We hadn’t seen the Feisty Flowers crew since last year’s WEDMKE show, but we always enjoy our time with them and their amazing creations and hope to see them throughout the season.
We were thrilled to see Pizza Man! They are a classic Milwaukee institution and a fantastic place for a casual wedding or rehearsal dinner. We had a rehearsal dinner there last year and the food and service were just amazing.
Over The Moon Bartending had amazing Pomegranate Margaritas as well as a Blueberry Mule for everyone.
All Star Rentals brought this beautiful farm table.
Paperwhites put together a sea of beautiful samples of their work.
The Evolution crew was there promoting their new amazing rooftop lounge The View at Evolution.
Tall Guy and a Grill Catering are the perfect kinds of caterers for this show. Their food is unique and their uniforms are hoodies!
Coqui Paperie and Gifts are veterans of this industry and have always had bright smiles to go along with their inspired designs.
Saz’s Catering can wrap whatever they like in bacon and know everyone will be happy.
Milwaukee Flower Company put together the most unique display featuring a large wooden box with little windows through which couples could peer to glimpse their creations.
How does a planner stand out at a wedding show? Evenement put together this poppy display that one couldn’t miss if they tried!
Jane Kelly Floral created a world of greenery featuring these really cool spherical pedestals.
North Star Catering always makes the tastiest food and is overly happy to share it with us!
Miss Molly’s Pastries brought an overwhelming amount of sweets to the table!
Relics Vintage Rentals seemingly emptied out their warehouse for this show displaying a dizzying array of possibilities!
Representing all of their venues were the ladies (and chefs) from Bartolotta’s Weddings.
This was the first time we got to see the eclectic mix of dresses that MinkMaids offers. So cool!
Bloom Floral and Event Design created their own little unique world in their space. Gives you just a taste of what they could do in a larger environment!
Wood Violet Floral Design always comes up with really organic arrangements and display techniques.
We had the pleasure of being right between smiling faces from Anodyne (above) and Events to a T (below) all day.
Lustrous Beauty Studio was on hand for on the spot makeovers!
