Event Profile: Milwaukee Art Museum’s ArtXpress Community Mural Unveiling!

Every year, the Milwaukee Art Museum fosters art in our youth community and encourages creation through their ArtXpress internships. Every year, the time comes to show off what the students have been working on and celebrate their work. We were hired on to capture the mural’s unveiling, teen artist marketplace and a dance number by the LCCOA dance group.

Some things to consider: we had not only moving subjects with the dance group, but indoor moving subjects which makes the task difficult without sufficient light. We were tasked to highlight the details of the ArtXpress intern’s paintings as well as the event itself outside and inside so we had to juggle that with documenting the live musicians as well.
