Treasure – An Art Event at Cuvee
On June 5, 2012, The Alzheimer’s Association, Southeastern Wisconsin chapter, will premiere Treasure, an exquisite gallery evening hosted at Cuvee in the heart of Milwaukee’s chic Third Ward.
Treasure is The Alzheimer’s Association‘s first annual affair to benefit Memories in the Making, a program that encourages creative art expression for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease. Creating artwork has become the treasured activity for many who are unable to communicate verbally-the voice used to powerfully express thoughts, emotions and memories. The paintings become the treasure of families as they reveal that the essence of their loved ones is still there waiting to be rediscovered beneath the dementia.
In addition to an auction of artwork chosen from the program and contributed fine art from Wisconsin fine artists, Treasure will illuminate the culinary masterpieces of chefs throughout the Third and Fifth Wards. This is an invitation soiree featuring exceptional small plate samplings, lively libations, and entertainment.
Tickets may be purchased by contacting the Alzheimer’s Association at 414-479-8800. Tickets are $75 per person. Memorials, Honorariums and Sponsorships available.
