Milwaukee Engagement Photographer: Jamie & Sean!
As a Milwaukee engagement photographer, we spend a fair amount of time exploring the lakefront area. It’s pretty much the go-to location that couples think of when they imagine portraits being taken in Milwaukee. Finding new ways to interpret areas over and over again is one of our challenges. That’s why we really try to find our inspiration in the couple. Their sense of style, the way they interact, their story…these are all sources of information that help us make each engagement session unique. Of course, the light we get that day determines a lot about the best way to work a location, as well. Using light in a fundamentally sound way is the foundation of a good photo. Without that, the moment, expressions, and composition don’t mean much. With Jamie and Sean, it was just a reminder that sometimes people don’t realize how cute they are together!
That is one of the reasons we love doing engagement sessions with couples. Sometimes when they are sitting in our studio telling us how unphotogenic they are, we have already witnessed moments of adorableness happen right before our eyes. People don’t realize that with the right photographer helping them forget about the camera, all their awesomeness can come through in photos. On this beautiful afternoon we started at McKinley Marina and worked our way south until we finished up in the Third Ward.
There are many reasons couples choose to do an engagement session. Making amazing Save The Date cards is often one of them. We were so excited to see this card from Jamie and Sean arrive in the mail. Of course, we already had their date saved, but it was wonderful to think about all their guests receiving these and getting a preview of our work before we meet all of them this August!
