This session is a little different than our average in home session or newborn session, but only in the way that all of us at Front Room are emotionally invested in their story.
Kelly, our office administrator, and her matzo ball loving husband, Isaac, welcomed their first child this October. The Front Room team can’t be more happier or more willing to offer its support and of course, help document this life changing journey along the way.
We speculated about their little one’s name for months (sometimes at hours a time – sorry, Kelly), we organized a baby shower and all rallied to cover her role during her maternity leave, while she was adjusting to life with a newborn.
Kelly and Isaac opted to have Neil photograph their family where it was most comfortable and true to them – at home. Painted a vibrant array of colors and plenty of googley eyes (can we introduce you to Pablo, Kelly’s cactus?), it’s warm and natural. Kelly’s parents were in from Florida, so they were able to get some rare family portraits – which matter so much, especially when he’s at such a young age.
Another definite plus was their sweet dog, Kate, was able to be a part of all the family fun.
It’s crazy how he’s already grown a lot and it’s only been three months since these photographs were taken. He’s starting to see more than a few inches away from his own face and has developed a keen liking to lights (Christmas was exciting!).
The girls beg Kelly to bring him into the studio, so we’re happy to see how he’s developing and growing. We say he looks more like Kelly than Isaac but I guess we’ll just have to see how he grows up!
