Milwaukee Event Photographer: United Way Closing!
As a Milwaukee event photographer, we get exposed to some very inspiring people and events. United Way has been an organization we’ve supported for years. Their closing event, where they reveal their Community Campaign Total for the year, is always the highlight of the year.
This is Mary Lou Young’s, far left, last year as president and CEO of United Way of Greater Milwaukee. She has been leading the charge since 2009 and will be missed by all. On the far right, is Dr. Darienne Driver, superintendent of Milwaukee Public Schools, who has taken charge of the volunteer hours for United Way of Greater Milwaukee and helped take that aspect of the mission to new heights this year.
United Way has a fun campaign called Give & Win. Anyone who donates $25-75 is entered into a drawing to win one of a range of prizes from Bucks tickets to a Chevy Traverse. Pictured above is the Grand prize winner who was literally jumping for joy.

This is what we call a power high five. On the left is CEO of Manpower, Jonas Prising, and on the right is the CEO of Harley-Davidson, Matthew Levatich. Levatich put forth a herculean effort to make it to this event, flying in moments before making this appearance. But he wouldn’t have missed this celebration of giving for anything.
