Eric & Jennifer’s Wisconsin Engagement Session
Puppies, green grass, flowers and warm light!
Wisconsin Engagement Session
When we meet couples, one of our missions is to pair them with the right photographer for them. It is important to us that we send the team that will have personalities that fit with the couple, their friends and family. It is amazing how little cues can help us to do just that. There were a number of things that led us to think Amanda would be the best fit for Eric & Jennifer – and we were so glad when they chose her! You will see how they clicked at their Wisconsin Engagement Session to make some beautiful art together.
Jennifer & Eric told us that they like “alt folk rock”, and while Amanda doesn’t share the fanatic enthusiasm that others of the Front Room family share for the Avett Brothers, she does like Florence and the Machine and other bands that fall into that alt folk rock category. Then they mentioned that Eric likes showtunes – Amanda has a background in theater.
When we asked how Eric proposed, Jennifer told us that they were opening Christmas gifts, and he tricked her into saying yes. How intriguing! And it has been a longstanding joke at Front Room that Amanda could fall prey to a surprise wedding one day – getting tricked into getting married. We’ve had lengthy discussions about how we could carry out such a plan. Maybe we need Eric’s help since he’s clearly got tricks and surprises down!
-What do you like to do together?-
“We met playing ultimate frisbee which is still something we love doing together. We also play board games, video games, play with our dogs and are working on updating our new home.” – Jennifer
What’s in a Wedding Photographer?
“We would like our photographer to capture some of the more “traditional” moment throughout the day, so the couple and our families as well as the wedding party. They also need to be comfortable with capturing some moments with our dogs, as they will be present for some of the ceremony. Some of my favorite photos of us have been spontaneously captured during other friend’s weddings. The more spontaneous photos of people having a blast with us are very important.” – Jennifer
This screamed Amanda to us. She has a classic and elegant quality to her work. And she LOVES dogs. Animals of any kind really. But especially dogs. So the fact that their dogs are important enough to them that they would be included in the engagement session and wedding ceremony was a huge indicator that they and Amanda would get along swimmingly. Amanda is also great at capturing candid moments of emotion and fun. It is the perfect fit. And we are so glad that Jennifer and Eric saw that – we CAN. NOT. WAIT. to see what Amanda creates for them on wedding day later this month!
