Milwaukee Portrait Photographer: The Marsch Family!

When Jennifer & Douglas first called us, they were not looking for a Milwaukee portrait photographer – they were just starting to plan their 2008 wedding. They quickly learned that while we have a passion for wedding photography, that passion extends to our portraits! Years later, when their first daughter Marcella came along they called with the good news and it was time for newborn photos and the first family portrait. It was a pleasant surprise when we got the call a few years later that Louisa had arrived and they were looking to capture the joy again.

There aren’t many feelings more exhilarating than documenting the fresh love and optimism that is abundant at a wedding. We fall in love with that feeling most weekends of the year and it helps replenish our seemingly never-ending supply of energy that gets us through the week and to the next wedding. While it feels wonderful and complete to finish up the photos and albums from a wedding, it’s also a bit sad because we never know when we will see that couple again.

However, when a couple of years pass and they call us with the update that not only are they doing well but they have a new arrival on the way, it is with great excitement that we know we can continue photographing the story of their lives!

Marriage and parenthood are experiences that can’t really be anticipated accurately. As we are always trying to interpret who our clients are, we love that sometimes we get to document this evolution of the couple in addition to the growth of the family and children.  There are so many reasons that it is truly satisfying to be a Milwaukee portrait photographer and this context is what really brings it home.
